Pirate Park (Bethany Meadows Park)
and Emerald Estates Park
June 4th, 2016

Pirate Park on a bright, hot and sunny day.
The temperature might reach 99 F this afternoon
It is 7:15 A.M. right now

We found the trailhead on NW 164th Avenue, you have to look really hard.

Wait a minute!
Where is the pavement? No way a wheelchair can go through this field!
I have to find an easier access to the trail ahead. I crossed this field with caution!

I found the trail! Looking east toward the Pirate Park
The sun is already high above the horizon. It is really warm at around 7:00 A,M.

Looking west, these folks came from Emerald Estates Park, we will go later!

Looking north, we are closer to the Pirate Park

Bicycle Repair Station
I like to name it - Pirate Triangle

Looking west from Pirate Triangle
NW Kaiser Road 0.5 mile to the east
Waterhouse Trail to the south and
NW West Union Road about 1.0 mile to the west.

My first look at the Pirate Park

Looking east, NW Kaiser Road is just 0.4 mile from this point.

Let's explore this Pirate theme Park, shall we?

The morning is getting warmer by the minute!

In search of a better trailhead:

NW Graf Street looks promising to me...

Gentle sloping down from the Pirate Park

Look what I found...

I found it! A better access to get to the Pirate Park!
This is the trailhead from NW Graf Street.

But, I wonder if the slope is too steep for wheelchair?
I am sure motorized scooter can make it.

Now, let's continue our walk to Emerald Estates Park

Looking west, a lot of wildflowers on the trail

This trail goes all the way to NW West Union Road, about 1.0 mile

In the distance not too far away is Emerald Estates Park.
Time to go home, I am sweating already, need to hydrate!
