Lower Antelope Canyon
An Adventure of a Lifetime
Navajo Reservation, Page -Arizona
October 7th, 2017
We are waiting for our Navajo guide, the tour has been delayed for almost an hour
and a half due to over crowding.
Then we have to walk for at least half a mile on a hot sand, very difficult
and slow going for me.
The we descent with steep stairs to go down this "slot" canyon.
Notice the two smokes on top of the canyon, that's a signal from the Navajo
Indian....just kidding!
I hope it's not raining in the area, the flash flood could cover the canyon
in 30 seconds.
At the narrowest path, my shoes won't fit on the pathway,
if you are not careful you can twist your ankle in a heartbeat.
It is unbelievable to see the formation.
The time for taking pictures are so short.
Shoot as many as you can, sort it later,
otherwise you will go with a photo tour which cost a significantly more.
I hope I don't bore you! I just could not choose which one to use, each one
is unique.
I see it as a "hip" bone.....
Lower canyon is like a "V" shape.
Our Navajo guide (on the right) is not a patient man...
Finally the light at the end of the canyon,
going up is treacherous as well.
A special thanks to Indra, Risma and John for
this adventure of a lifetime
