Mogollon Rim
A two day trip adventure
October 16th and 17th, 2017

Mogollon Rim was a result of a lift some 15 to 20 million years ago.

The Visitors Center is closed for the season.

Flash Flood at 7,500 feet? We are screwed !
Warnings: Do not bring your dog, unless its on the leash all the time!

Arizona highway 260 is visible below.

Horizontal composition

Not too close to the rim please! I want to go home and you have the car key!

Woods Canyon Lake

The reflections

Forest Road 300 - 45 miles of no civilization!

Control burn - do not report it!

The clearing on the forest below is the power line from northern Arizona.

Red trees? From the fire retardant!
Forest fire is frequent in this area....

More gravel road....
This section is considered good, some has "washboard" effect from the rain
and some the gravel is washed away, leaving to the bare rocks underneath.

The fire aftermath....

The last picture of the rim and we also made a "piss" stop.

I am so happy to see this SIGN, we are back to civilization!
Highway 87 and 260.
We spent 5 hours on the gravel road!

A special thanks to Bob who drove about 500 miles to show me the other side of Arizona.
