We arrived before 10:00 AM, plenty of time to enjoy the view.






















































































Haystack rocks in the distance.




















































































Tillamook Head Lighthouse is visible in the background..
Nicknamed "Terrible Tilly", it was built in 500 miserable days.
It was first lit on January 21st, 1881.
The sailing barque 16 crew member wrecked and died just weeks before its opening.
The only survivor of the wreck was the crew's dog.




















































"The Goonies" was filmed here in 1985, and the "Kindergarten Cop"
