Hoffman Farms Store
Sunflowers, pumpkins and a train
October 6th, 2021
This is an unexpected stop after visiting
Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve.
At this farm they let you explore this sunflowers field.
The lighting is perfect in my opinion, and sunflowers are one of my favorite
flowers,
so I was like a kid in a candy store.
Bare with me as I take many of these flowers in different compositions
and lighting conditions,
This shot I just want the ominous sky and the sunflowers.
This is a back lighting.
The sun is peeking from behind.
They make a path in the middle of this field, so I can be close to the flowers.
I believe without this ominous cloud, this is just another field.
I move closer and surround the subjects with sunflowers.
I placed one flower as a center of interest, notice the sun is hiding now.
One for the photographer.
The sun is barely peeking, not enough to give a harsh shadow.
Almost blooming
One of the technique to bring more foreground to the picture.
I was standing on an available crate to get this shot.
An off center object can create an interesting composition.
An old object can create a dramatic composition.
I took several pictures with various angles.
Here I place the truck on the left without giving too much space on the left.
I move back to let the sunflowers surround the old truck.
My last composition and hoping the sunflowers still surround the old truck.
I am using a super wide angle lens.
A mountain of old tires
From a different angle
The light rain is starting to fall
I can work here as a train engineer, just pay me with apple cider.
