Nehalem State Park
North Jetty
September 18th, 2021

Along Highway 101 - Cannon Beach south

Nehalem area from Oswald State Park, highway 101

It's rainy and windy when we got here

Nehalem State Park Campground

We start from Nehalem Bay Jetty Trail to
North Jetty Nehalem Bay.
A distance of 2 miles one way, mostly flat.

It took me a few seconds to realize "PLEASE SHOVEL" meaning after I read "HORSE PARKING"

This is the trailhead to North Jetty, 4 miles round trip

We encountered puddles of water after a heavy rain last night.

This is a grueling 2 miles trek.

We let these folks go ahead since we are a slow going.

It's either left or right, we judged if we can walk pass it.

The sky opened up, a good sign

He tried to drive through the puddle as fast as he could.

Left or right?

Sometimes we make our own path, beware of the black berry bush!

Now, what do we do?

Finally we reached the North Jetty

It never gets old.....

This is on the way home, the rain drenched us, the lighting, the thunder is deafening.

Almost "home", a sense of accomplishment indeed.
