Nippori
Our homebase in Tokyo area
NI P PO RI
Being able to read
Hiragana and
Katakana is very helpful.
I can tell if the restaurant sells RAMEN or UDON.
Nippori Station, I have to get familiarize since we are going to use it everyday
while in Tokyo.
Yamanote line runs in circle, one in clockwise, the other in counterclockwise.
This is Saturday, a lot of activity, almost like a swap meet
That's like a market, we will venture there later.
I am wondering......what is this people doing?
West exit from Nippori station
Whoalla.....to my delight....train watching..OTAKU
Watching all kind of train..
It looks like JR (Japan Railways) Yamanote Line
Another JR (Japan Railways) but I am not sure what line it is
Another reason I choose Nippori area, there is a direct connection from the
airport.
That one is
Skyliner (direct service to and from Narita Airport).
The trains pass by here almost every 5 minutes if not shorter.
That is
Yamanote Line for sure, looking at the color combination.
Shinkansen (bullet train) has its own tracks, later it will be an elevated
tracks.
Now, we are exploring the market.
7-11 is everywhere and the ATM is very convenient to use.
DA..ME...!
No photograph!
I have a taste of this feisty grandma yelling at me...O well ...
It's a fish store.
All kinds of fried food...notice
"No photography" sign..
I also see a sign of "No Smartphone" in other part of Japan.
Aah I think I can work here.....5 minutes of Fortune Telling for 500 yen?
Easy money..
Tsukudani (konbu no tsukudani), my favorite!
