Croix du Mont-Royal
September 24th, 2015

After the best bagel in town, we come here again, this time we are a bit smarter when taking the bus.
We take bus # 11, then make a second stop to the cemetery, a short walk to Chalet du Mont-Royal.
We are seeking the "Cross of Mount Royal" that we did not see the first day.

Since we are here early, we encountered this group, it is not easy for sure.

There it is again, early morning, not too many people, just watching Pokie could fly pose!

One for me, a postcard from Montreal.

He serenades us, indeed he is a good piano player.

Most people are generally nice when asked about the directions.
Remember this is a French speaking region, so I learn a few words such as "Bonjour",
"Excuse moi", "S'il vous plait" and "Bonjourne"
I stopped two bicyclists to ask for direction, one of them came back after a few minutes and confirming the the path to take.
"Merci beaucoup"

Just follow the sign! All in French!

"We made it!"

Pokie is happy and content

Fall colors are beginning to show up.

One last look!
BTW, no buildings in downtown Montreal should exceed the height of the cross.
